Caracol was a huge city with monuments, ball courts and urban farms. The administrative complex of Caana is just east of the northeast acropolis, where the tomb of ancient ruler Te K’ab Chaak was found. Both Caana and a nearby palace, labeled B64, held a wealth of hieroglyphics and ceremonial items.
